Jasmine’s younger sister Jade Yarbrough has turned up in Byron as well: she was among a select few celebrating MCM House founder Charles ‘Chugga’ Hinkfuss’ birthday celebrations at a local Greek eatery.

Former Domain boss and Byron Bay hotelier Anthony Catalano has been spied holding court poolside at his $2000 a night hotel, Raes on Wategos.

Raes is a popular choice for many southerners; Sydney socialite Lou Hay recently enjoyed a getaway to the luxe resort for her mother’s 60th birthday.

The Grace Tales accused of body-shaming

Former Vogue Australia editor and The Grace Tales founder Georgie Abay has come under fire from social media followers after reposting an image from British actress Jameela Jamil (star of The Good Place) that body-shamed Kim Kardashian-West.

An online publication, The Grace Tales tends to profile affluent women with children and has an Instagram following of 100,000. It recently shared screenshots of Jamil’s post about Kardashian-West, where she described the reality TV megastar as “deluded”.

“She’s just so harmed and deluded into thinking this is what SHE needs to look like to be special and beautiful and she’s spilling it out onto her following,” Jamil wrote.

Instagram followers of The Grace Tales quickly leapt on the posts for tearing another woman down. “This post seems hurtful and hypocritical to me. Posting an image of another woman, without her consent, and commenting on her body is wrong,” commented one person, adding: “I also don’t think that anyone is in a position to make statements about whether or not someone else has body image issues.”

However, Abay said she and her team stood by their sharing of the controversial post.
“I’m a mother of two girls and self-love and acceptance is extremely important – I wasn’t body shaming and neither was the author,” she told Emerald City.

Abay pointed out she has recently published This Is Me, a book that “champions self-love, individuality and womanhood” and features women talking about their relationship with their body.

Social-media funny woman Celeste Barber managed to escape a similar lashing from keyboard warriors when she shared the same image of Kardashian-West alongside a photo of herself. “Kim do yourself a f–king favour and just buy the next size up, darling,” Barber captioned the post.

They say pilates reduces your stress but that’s not entirely the case for Fluid Form Pilates studios in the eastern suburbs.

Emerald City is told that pilates princess Kirsten King (who owns studios in Clovelly and Surry Hills) was in the midst of setting up a new studio with an industry peer last year before they reluctantly parted ways.

Relations are said to have soured when King’s potential partner decided to go her own way and open a rival studio in the inner west. However, a representative for King shot down suggestions there was any bad blood between the pair, insisting it was a non-story.
