Friend and fellow Nine employee Richard Wilkins also confirmed the exciting news on the Weekend Today Show.
“To Karl and Jas, you guys are going to love this special time in your life,” Wilkins said on air.
The proud new parents shared a beautiful first photo of their daughter hours after her Friday arrival.
Sadly, friends and family close to the couple, including Karl’s three older children aren’t able to meet their new half-sibling due to the coronavirus and visitation restrictions at the hospital.
Jasmine’s parents, Bob and Cheryl Yarbrough, are currently self-isolating in Sydney after arriving from their home in Ascot Hill, Brisbane. The first-time grandparents are understood to be overjoyed by Harper’s arrival and are staying in town to help care for the new baby.
The couple married in a lavish Mexican wedding in 2018 after they began dating in 2016. Karl shares three children – Jackson, 20, Ava, 15 and River, 12, with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn.
Nine, publishers of this masthead, confirmed Today Extra presenter David Campbell will cover Karl’s presenting duties on Today to lap up time with his girls.
