About the exhibition

The annual RBSA Friends Exhibition provides a platform for Friends to display their work at various stages of their career. We are delighted to welcome you to enjoy the Friends Exhibition 2020 online, and to continue supporting artists while the RBSA Gallery is closed.

This exhibition features 140 artworks from 70 Friends of the RBSA, some taking inspiration from the artist’s experience during lockdown.

All artworks are available to buy (excluding commissions) and sales support the artist and RBSA Gallery.

About RBSA Friends

The Friends subscription has been part of the RBSA since the 1900s and the RBSA was one of the first art societies to give subscribers their own exhibitions. Many Friends have progressed to become Associates and Members, as well as Council Members who inform the Society’s future.

Artists and supporters who want to be a part of the arts community in Birmingham can become a Friend of the RBSA. In addition to support from the RBSA, you will receive discounts, exclusive event invitations, opportunities to deliver workshops and free entry to the Friends and RBSA Open exhibitions.
