Celebrities are using their time while social distancing to pick up all kinds of new hobbies.
For her part, Golden Globe-winning actor Sharon Stone is learning to paint. And it turns out she has some talent. Maybe.
You might even say she has a basic instinct for it.
The movie star took to Instagram to show off her first effort: a portrait of a yawning, impressionistic pink flower on paper. It was from a paint-by-numbers set—but still, there’s a lesson here for us all.
“It actually looks like something, which I find completely remarkable,” she said in an the Instagram video.
Then she added a little quarantine advice for us all: “You can do something you didn’t know you could do while you’re at home, not knowing what to do.”
Thank you, Sharon, for your service.
In a career that’s spanned four decades, Stone has starred in dozens of films and TV shows, including Basic Instinct (1992), Sliver (1993), and Casino (1995).
With her newfound hobby, she joins an increasingly long list of celebrities who have turned to art, including Brad Pitt, Jim Carrey, Lucy Liu, Adrien Brody, Sylvester Stallone, Val Kilmer, James Franco, John Mellencamp, Anthony Hopkins, and many others.
Tragically, Stone has not responded to Artnet’s DM. C’mon Sharon. C’mon.
