There’s someone in my neighborhood of Belleville, NJ who I think deserves the title of “most interesting front yard in New Jersey.” Check out this scene … (and then scroll down for more)
If you look closely, there’s a little bit of everything: lions, dolphins, cherubs, frogs, little girls with bonnets, a swan, a pond, a rock garden, a Nativity Scene on year-round display (in the background, behind the trees), and much more.
How about this unusual message inscribed on the rock near the pond: “Smart Rock: If this rock is wet … it’s raining. Moving … earthquake. White … it’s snowing. Not here … it’s stolen.”
I walk by this yard on a regular basis and am always tempted to take more pictures, as I often see more the longer I look. One can also see from the front sidewalk that the backyard seems to have even more good stuff back there … I wish I could go back there for a closer look! I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this anywhere else!
